Body Mass Index

(BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight. It does not actually measure the percentage of body fat, but is used to estimate a healthy body weight based on a person’s height. If your BMI is less than 16.5, you are considered severely underweight. For a range of from 18.5 to 24.9 you are considered to be of normal weight, and with a BMI over 30, you are considered obese.
