Conventional wisdom would seem to dictate that fasting to lose weight would be the easiest and most sensible method of weight loss. It’s common knowledge that eating too much food causes one to gain weight, and reducing food intake will contribute towards success in a weight loss program. Thus it would seem that fasting – or going for long periods of time without eating – would be the quickest way to lose weight. But the truth is that fasting is actually counter-productive when it comes to losing weight and even staying healthy in general.

Logically, it seems that the inevitable outcome of fasting should be weight loss. After all, we gain weight by eating too much; when we consume more calories than we burn, our bodies store the excess energy as fat so that it can be used later if we are unable to obtain food. Our bodies’ storage of fat is simply a survival mechanism that provides us with energy when food is scare, which would have been a great advantage to humans in earlier times; for example, hunter-gatherer tribes would have benefited from their bodies’ efficient fat storage when food was scarce in the winter. However, in modern times, food is incredibly abundant in the Western world. Our ability to grow and produce food has long exceeded our nutritional needs and we’re faced with all the food we can eat.

As human beings, our natural tendency is to eat as much food as we can, and even to seek out the foods that are the most calorie-dense since they provide the most energy. We’re constantly fighting our instincts: they tell us to eat another slice of cake since our bodies still operate on mechanisms that evolved when food was scarce, while in our minds we know that there is plenty of food to go around and that we are in no real danger of starving.

This leads many people to consider fasting to lose weight. If reducing your daily food intake by 300 calories is enough to lose a few pounds a month, then reducing it by 1000 calories should be even better, right? Unfortunately, our bodies don’t work that way. You may lose weight by reducing your food intake drastically but you will also be signaling to your body that there isn’t enough food to go around. Your body doesn’t know the difference between fasting and starving and it will take measures to prolong your “survival.” It will begin to store more of your food intake as fat, meaning that your fasting to lose weight program won’t be as efficient, and it will also begin to break down your lean tissue – muscle – for energy. This is an undesirable consequence because lean tissue aids in boosting your metabolism and also gives your body definition.

The end result of fasting to lose weight is that you will probably lose weight, but you may not even look any better because your body increased its fat storage and broke down your muscle tissue! Fasting also deprives your body of the vitamins and minerals that it requires for normal operation, meaning that you may feel lethargic and mentally cloudy in addition to being more susceptible to illness.

On the surface it may seem like fasting to lose weight would be a quick and efficient method of weight loss. While it may result in actual weight loss, the drawbacks are far too severe and there are much better, and more sensible, methods of losing weight. Click here for more great weight loss information and instant access to the #1 weight loss plan on the Internet!

There are countless so-called “easy ways to lose weight” in the marketplace, and it can be hard just to keep track of which one is which. Things get even more complicated when you try to separate the truly efficient programs from the ones that aren’t worth your time. Most people realize that it’s a good idea to research a weight loss program before starting it, but that can be a daunting task considering the amount of information available online regarding weight loss. You may find it difficult to obtain trustworthy information about a program, or you may even find conflicting information regarding its efficacy. Here are some quick tips to help you find useful information when researching programs for weight loss.

The internet is a great place to begin looking for information on weight loss programs. There are thousands of resources available online, and the three biggest and most popular search engines are your best bet for finding complete and reliable information. Google, Yahoo, and Bing are the most-used search engines on the internet, and for good reason: they employ the most efficient technology for finding information and making it available to users. Start your online search using one of these three sources and you’ll be on the right track.

Type in the name of the weight loss program that you want to research if you know it, or simply type in the term “easy ways to lose weight” into Google, Yahoo, or Bing and click the Search button. You will find many results; the trick is separating the reliable information from the unreliable. To do this, you’ll need to pay attention to the types of websites that you’re visiting to find information about a weight loss program. Look for information on trusted, reliable sites like WebMD and MayoClinic; these sites are run by professional organizations and they present information that is verified by medical doctors and scientists. Authoritative websites and those of large health organizations should almost always be your first source for reliable information about the fundamental principles of diet and weight loss.

You may also be able to find useful information from the website for a particular weight loss program if it’s one that is popular or well-known. The creators of such programs usually publish a website with information about the program’s specifics, such as its dietary and exercise requirements, restrictions and guidelines, the theories behind such recommendations, and the price of the program. While these websites can offer some useful information, remember that they are designed to sell you the program. They may not answer all your questions, but they provide a good starting point so that you can dig deeper and research the creators’ specific claims about the efficacy of the program and the health guidelines that they recommend.

Lastly, you may be able to find useful information on personal blogs and websites. However, you should always take the information that you obtain from these websites with a grain of salt. They are likely not written by someone with a medical or health background and may be heavily influenced by personal opinion rather than fact. Still, they can sometimes provide you with a starting point for continuing your research, by presenting claims that may be worth researching.

Losing weight doesn’t have to be hard or complicated, but when you are searching for easy ways to lose weight, beware. When conducting research for weight lose programs online, it’s important to keep a critical mindset. Stick to the most credible and reputable sources for basic facts, and do additional research on any claims presented by a program’s creators or by independent writers. Click here for more great weight loss information and instant access to the #1 weight loss plan on the Internet!

Many women are wondering if being overweight and pregnant can cause complications for their unborn child since obesity has increasingly become a greater problem in the Western world. Women obviously put on weight during pregnancy, but how much is too much? Should overweight women try to slim down before becoming pregnant, or will they put on more weight anyway? Is it safe for an overweight woman to undertake a weight loss program while pregnant? These questions are best answered by a doctor, as they may vary from case to case. However, read on to discover why it’s dangerous to be overweight and pregnant and what you can do to remedy the situation.

There’s no debate over the fact that being overweight and pregnant can cause complications. Not only are more women becoming pregnant while overweight or obese, but a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that women who were overweight prior to pregnancy are two to three times more likely to give birth to a child with serious complications such as spina bifida and heart disease. The study also found that weight gained before pregnancy will likely be more difficult to lose after childbirth. There are clear advantages to slimming down before becoming pregnant.

Many women, however, do not plan their pregnancies or don’t have time to lose weight before coming pregnant. While pregnancy is typically a time when women are advised that gaining weight is a necessity, some doctors, such as Paula Bernstein, an OB-GYN in Los Angeles, believe that women who are already overweight or obese should monitor their weight gain. Women who enter pregnancy at a healthy weight should gain 25-35 pounds during pregnancy, but women who are already overweight or obese are advised to only gain 15-25 pounds.

Pregnancy is not the time to start a weight loss diet or radical new exercise program. A developing baby needs the nutrients that its mother’s food provides, and cutting out calories means that the baby is being deprived of the raw materials that it needs for development. However, women who are concerned about being overweight or obese while pregnant can do things to lessen their chances of experiencing complications.

Eating a balanced and healthy diet which includes whole grains, vegetables, lean protein, and unsaturated fats will provide the developing baby with all the nutrients it needs while still aiding a pregnant woman in losing weight, or preventing her from gaining too much weight. Sensible cardiovascular exercises such as walking, swimming, and low-impact aerobics can also help in meeting pregnancy weight goals. In many cases, there’s no cause for alarm if an overweight woman loses weight while pregnant: her fat reserves can keep the developing baby well-fed. However, any weight loss should occur naturally as a result of a healthy diet and light exercise instead of a calorie-restricted diet intended specifically for weight loss.

While there are quite a few complications that overweight and pregnant women may experience , they should be careful not to engage in calorie cutting or heavy exercise. Any pregnancy diet plan should be discussed with a doctor or dietitian to make sure that the developing baby will still receive the nutrients he or she needs.

Copyright Ron Fritzke 2011

While we can all pretty much agree that we’d prefer riding our bikes outdoors rather than in the house, there are times when a bike trainer comes in handy. The weather can play tricks on us, particularly during the winter, making an indoor ride our only viable option.

Other days we’d rather just not hassle with the traffic and stoplights.

If you’re new to the world of bike trainers, it’ll help if you know a few basics about the three categories that most trainers fit into. I’ve spent untold hours writing bike trainer reviews, delving into many bike trainer details…but I’ll condense what I’ve found out into the most important features you should be aware of.

Fluid Trainers For The Quietest, Smoothest Ride

There’s a reason people pay more for fluid bike trainers. They are the quietest trainers on the market, and they are smooth…accurately simulating an outdoor ride (on a smooth road, of course). But there’s something else in the ‘realistic’ category that makes them appealing.

They increase their resistance exponentially rather than linearly. Much as in the real world of air resistance, going 20 mph on a fluid bike trainer requires more than twice as much energy as going 10 mph. In fact, trying to add an additional mile per hour to your speed when you get over 20 mph can be a real chore.

In case you didn’t know it, that’s how it is when you’re riding outside, too.

The reason this is important is because some of the most beneficial workouts done on a trainer are intervals of high intensity efforts separated by ‘rest’ efforts. On a fluid trainer, even the most seasoned riders won’t find that they have too much power for their trainer.

The same can’t be said about some of the other styles.

A fluid trainer that bears investigating is the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. The Kurt Kinetic line is unique in that it’s impervious to leakage. Fluid trainers that failed due to leakage were a common occurrence before the Kinetic line, but because the fluid-filled chamber in these trainers is completely sealed off, the former ‘Achilles heel’ of fluid trainers has been eliminated.

There Are Now Some Good Mag Trainers

Not too long ago you’d be hard pressed to find a satisfied mag (magnetic) trainer owner. But the current line of Cycleops mag trainers have a loyal following. CycleOps has a reputation for conscientiously supplying quality products, and their mag trainers are no exception.

Mag trainers are noisier than fluid trainers, and their ability to produce resistance isn’t as limitless as with the fluid trainers. Nonetheless, for most riders it would be enough.

With a heavy flywheel, mag trainers can supply a reasonably realistic ride. Because they’re about a hundred dollars less expensive than fluid trainers they’re attractive to many cyclists.

Wind Trainers For Casual Rides

You can hardly read a comment about wind trainers without mention of the noise that they make. Some owners report that they can’t hear their TVs over the roar of the trainer even when the volume is ‘topped off’.

I’ve even read of hard feelings between neighbors in an apartment complex due to the daily roar of a wind trainer.

The resistance capability of wind trainers is limited as well. Because of their inability to produce limitless workloads, these trainers are more appropriate for mild to moderate intensity constant-effort workouts.

But these trainers are another hundred dollars less than the mag trainers (that’s two hundred dollars less than a fluid trainer), so for some cyclists this style makes sense.

Pick One Of The Bike Trainers For Year-round Fitness

Once you have a good understanding of the type of riding you’ll most likely be doing on an indoor bike trainer, you’ll be on your way to finding the right style for yourself.

If you think you need the ability to do some intense workouts…and you’ve got a bit of change to spare for a bike trainer, a fluid trainer is the most likely candidate.

If you’re not likely to be going ‘all out’ on a trainer, and are satisfied with a more casual pace…and don’t mind loud noises…and don’t want to spend too much money…and don’t live near any irritable neighbors, the wind trainer has your name on it.

And in a similar vein to the story of the porridge in the ‘The Three Bears’ fable, you might find that the porridge in the middle is ‘just right’. In that case, you’ll be headed to the section of the store featuring the mag trainers.

Copyright 2011

Diabetes has become increasingly more common in recent decades, and its growing prevalence has placed a new focus on developing a safe and effective diabetic diet plan. Those afflicted with diabetes, whether Type 1 or Type 2, must be very careful about the foods that they eat, monitoring their blood sugar levels to ensure those levels don’t rise or fall into dangerous territory.

It’s a well-known fact that obesity is a contributing factor in the development of Type 2 ( adult onset) diabetes. Obese or overweight individuals (am I overweight?) who develop Type 2 diabetes are advised to reduce their weight so as to minimize their risk of future complications. But since diabetics have special dietary requirements, it can be trickier to develop an effective diet plan that will work within the diet restrictions they are required to follow. Read on to discover some tips for creating your own diabetic plan that, with your doctor’s help and advice, will help you shed extra pounds and have you feeling healthier and looking better.

According to the American Dietetic Association, individuals with diabetes can benefit greatly from undertaking a diabetic diet plan and losing weight. Losing just 10 to 15 pounds can have a significant effect; lowering blood sugar, reducing blood pressure, and promoting healthy cholesterol levels. Losing those few pounds can have additional benefits like increasing energy levels and instilling more confidence, leaving you with a positive attitude and the right mindset for taking care of your diabetes and living healthier. It’s clear that there are many benefits to losing weight for diabetics.

Those looking to follow a diabetic diet plan should reduce their caloric intake as with any diet plan, but must be especially careful regarding carbohydrates. Since carbs affect blood sugar levels more than protein or fat, diabetics should choose their carb sources carefully: whole grains and vegetables are always preferable to the processed carbs that appear in such foods as white bread and candy, and the difference is especially profound for diabetics. Processed, simple carbs tend to cause large increases in blood sugar levels, which are dangerous for diabetics.

Exercise is an especially important activity for those following a diabetic diet plan to achieve weight loss. Since diabetics have to monitor their blood sugar levels and must eat if their blood sugar falls too low, they don’t have as much flexibility as non-diabetics when it comes to reducing food consumption.

Exercise can help bridge the gap: by doing cardiovascular exercises such as running, swimming, or walking, diabetics can promote weight loss and will not have to reduce their caloric intake as much as non-diabetic dieters. In effect, doing cardio will increase the number of calories burned, so that diabetics don’t have to worry so much about reducing calories through dieting. This kind of exercise can have an effect on blood sugar levels, however, so diabetics should be sure to keep a snack handy while exercising in case their blood sugar levels drop too low.

If you are diabetic and desire to lose weight, you can follow many of the same concepts that non-diabetic dieters follow. However, you will need to closely monitor your blood sugar levels, and always consult with a doctor before undertaking any diabetic diet plan. Your doctor can provide specific advice tailored for your individual diabetic situation, and can alert you to any potential pitfalls in following a diabetic diet plan. Click here for more great weight loss information, a great diabetic diet plan and instant access to the #1 weight loss plan on the Internet!

In the never-ending journey to find a quick, easy, and painless way of shedding pounds, many people have entertained the idea of using laxatives to lose weight. Laxatives, of course, are any food or drug ingested with the intention of promoting bowel movements. Most commonly used in patients suffering from constipation, laxatives appear in several different forms. It’s true that laxatives can induce some short-term weight loss, but are they truly effective as a weight loss tool? And is using laxatives for the purposes of weight loss a safe long-term solution to weight loss?

Before we can answer these questions, it’s necessary to understand how laxatives work. The primary purpose of laxatives is to clean out the intestinal tract – more specifically, the large intestine, or colon. Laxatives actually do not affect the small intestine. This has important implications for weight loss because caloric absorption, or the absorption of the energy and nutrients from the food we eat, takes place in the small intestine. Since the absorption of excess energy is what causes us to gain weight, it’s apparent that using laxatives to lose weight is a totally inefficient strategy.

However, it is true that laxatives often do promote short-term weight loss due to the dehydration of the body that occurs with frequent bowel movements, and the removal of built-up waste. Those taking laxatives might notice that they’ve dropped a few pounds after experiencing a day or two of frequent bowel movements; however, due to the fact that laxatives only affect food that has already been digested, the lost weight does not reflect fat that has been burned from the body, but rather is simply an indication of the loss of water weight and excess waste from the colon. As many dieters know, the loss of water weight is only temporary and that weight will quickly pile back on as the body retains water to rehydrate itself in the coming days.

Unfortunately, this loss of a few pounds can easily be misinterpreted as a sign that using laxatives to lose weight is actually an effective solution. The user might then continue using laxatives since they (the laxatives) have already provided some weight loss. This could be a costly mistake, as frequent or long-term use of laxatives (laxative abuse) can cause significant side effects, including chronic constipation, chronic dehydration, severe abdominal pain, damage to the intestinal tract, and electrolyte imbalance, which can lead to heart problems.

Laxatives are popular among those with eating disorders because they (the laxatives) provide the illusion that they contribute to weight loss in a way that doesn’t require dieting or exercise. Using laxatives to lose weight, however, is not sustainable as a weight loss plan and can lead to laxative abuse and addiction. Some weight loss plans advocate the use of laxatives, branding them as “cleansing” products; however, any such plan that relies on the use of laxatives or similar supplements should be regarded with extreme caution.

Using laxatives to lose weight seems like it would be an easy and relatively painless solution to weight loss. However, laxatives only affect food material that has already been digested, meaning they have no effect on real weight loss and only provide temporary water weight loss. This makes them ultimately ineffective for use in shedding pounds, and they can even be dangerous if used too frequently or for long periods of time. Click here for more great weight loss information and instant access to the #1 weight loss plan on the Internet!

The question, “how much weight can you lose in a week?” may have crossed your mind if you’ve got an upcoming event looming on the horizon and you want to look your best. For some people, looking your best may mean losing that last little bit of weight—maybe to fit into a wedding dress, or to look good in that swimsuit for your vacation cruise. How much weight you lose, and whether you stay healthy in the process and are able to keep it off, is really up to you. What steps are you willing to take? How much of a change are you willing to impose?

The problem with trying to lose weight in a week is that often, it takes that long just to get into the swing of a weight loss plan. Many people take longer than a week just to see even the smallest effect. But, don’t be discouraged! Simply follow some of these steps and you’re sure to notice a rapid change.

First, you need to take a look at your diet—and if you really want to lose that weight in a week, you’ll probably need to make some radical changes. If you’re a woman, you can afford to cut your caloric intake down to around 1200; men should be taking in 1800 calories a day. Say no to fast foods, sweets and junk foods—instead replace your meals with small portions that include fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean meats or fish. Snack on small amounts of protein-packed items like nuts (unsalted!), which will make you feel more satisfied for longer periods than those sugary items. Cut down on sodium, which will cause you to retain water. And don’t forget to get lots of fiber to keep that digestive system regular.

Second, if you have a week to lose weight, you should be working out every day. If this is something you’re not used to, don’t push yourself too hard, as you don’t want to risk any injuries. But do try to get past your comfort zone. Only by working yourself hard are you going to burn a significant number of calories that will result in weight loss. Also, ensure that when you are working out, you’re actually raising your heart rate. A good rule of thumb is that you should be breathing faster, but not struggling; you should notice a change, but still be able to hold a conversation.

Also, you can greatly increase your chances of losing weight if you drink plenty of water during this time. You may even consider replacing every beverage with water for the time being. You’ll notice a significant change—you’ll have much more energy, and drinking water before a meal can help you feel more satisfied so you don’t end up overeating.

Still want to know how much weight can you lose in a week? With these rules in place, you should burn about 1-2 pounds during that amount of time. This is just an average; depending on how hard you’re willing to work, you could burn 5 pounds, or even more. But take it easy! Don’t try to lose too much too fast, as you don’t want to risk your personal well-being for the sake of weight loss. Just be willing to work hard and go for it. And as always, you should consult with a physician, nutritionist or medically licensed weight loss professional before beginning any weight loss regimen.

To answer the question, “how much weight can you lose in a month?”, you should understand several things. With the pressures out there to lose weight mounting—every face smiling at us from magazines, billboards and TV screens seems to be thin and glowing—the idea of losing weight can seem to be more urgent than ever. You may be asking yourself just how fast you can lose that weight. The important thing to remember is that by skimping and cutting corners, you’re just doing a disservice to yourself; you don’t want to attempt a crash diet that could leave you gaining weight back, losing energy, or worse—unhealthy. So here are some things to keep in mind.

First, the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism, and the faster you will lose weight. This is why it is so beneficial to include regular weight lifting sessions along with aerobic and cardio routines in an exercise regimen. Building muscle mass will make you burn calories more quickly and efficiently, which you will do during vigorous cardio workouts.

Second, it is generally accepted that 3500 calories is the equivalent of a pound of weight. This means that for every 3500 calories you eat that you don’t burn off in activity, you put on a pound. And, conversely, every 3500 calories you burn away during exercise should theoretically result in a pound of weight lost.

If want to determine how much weight can you lose in a month and you decide to attempt to lose weight by changing only your diet, it will be possible, but difficult. How much weight you lose will depend on how drastic of a change you undergo—for example, if you have a regular diet of fried foods, a vegan diet is a drastic change that may result in a great deal of weight loss; it all depends on how many calories you can safely cut out—every 3500 counts. Weight loss will also depend on how quickly your metabolism adjusts, so you may need to vary your intake of calories to keep your metabolism “on its toes”.

Conversely, if you attempt to lose the weight by exercise alone, consider that 3500 calories equates to around five or six hours of exercise. If you work out once a day, that translates to about a pound a week, or about four pounds in a month. And that’s only if you stick to your schedule religiously and get your heart rate up consistently.

The most effective way to lose weight quickly is to combine both diet and exercise for the maximum burn of calories. If you can cut 3500 calories out of your diet per week—reasonable, especially if you limit yourself to between 1200 and 1800 calories a day—and burn 3500 per week in exercise, that equates to about two pounds a week. You could always burn more than that, but you have to remember to stay safe!

So if you’re wondering how much weight can you lose in a month, know this: if you are dieting and exercising safely and effectively, you should lose about 1-2 pounds a week, and around 10 pounds a month. Don’t rush it! You’ll see results soon.

Searching diet plans for women can be an arduous process. Women and men have vastly different body types. Women are smaller, produce different hormones, are predisposed to different diseases, and by the way, lose weight differently.

This is why it doesn’t make sense for men and women to attempt to lose weight on the same diet plan—just as no person will lose weight the same way any other person does, the methods employed to ensure weight loss must vary widely as well. The safety and effectiveness of diet plans are often called into question. Follow these tips to ensure that you are getting the best diet for you.

1. Talk to your doctor. No one knows more about the body than the person who spent their entire career studying it and its processes. Your doctor can give you specialized information about your own body type, and he or she will take into account any conditions you may have that further impede your weight loss goals. Your doctor can also tell you how to stay safe when implementing a new diet plan, and regular visits can help keep you on track. Your doctor is the most valuable resource you have in the weight loss process.

2. Do your research. Choosing a weight loss plan is important. Investigate a variety of diet plans, making sure to look at the ones that best suit your needs. Don’t get hung up on crash diets, as many of these are unsafe and unreliable; you may end up depriving yourself of crucial nutrients and jeopardizing your health, or you might find yourself gaining all the weight back if you don’t do it properly.

3. If necessary, be willing to spend money. Some of the most effective diet plans out there—the ones that are most likely to help you lose the weight for good without putting your health at risk—are the ones that cost at least some money. Don’t discount diet and weight loss plans because there is an associated cost; remember that it’s an investment in your health and a healthier future.

4. Keep a detailed record of everything. You’ll be better able to implement solutions to drastically improve your lifestyle if you are fully aware of not only your day-to-day habits, but also the patterns that emerge in your lifestyle as you study it over time.

5. Find a support network. You may be able to get this from your doctor, or from one of the weight loss programs you select. There are also numerous communities and support groups that can help you; you may even be able to find an online group and form friendships without even leaving your home. The point of this is to stay accountable to others and to be able to share your issues with people that are going through the same challenges as are you.

Losing weight can often be more difficult for women than for men, and the pressure to be thin can be unrealistic and crushing at times. You deserve to lose weight—and keep it off—in a way that keeps you healthy and makes you feel strong and confident. There are many diet plans for women from which to choose. Achieving successful results, can be easy when these important steps are followed.

Losing weight is one of the best things you can do for your health—the only question is how to lose weight fast and safe. Take a look at the grocery store checkout aisle and you will see about a half dozen smiling, glossy faces staring back at you, each one with a headline beside it proclaiming the newest, quickest way to lose weight. Losing weight and looking good has become more important than ever, particularly since the scientific community has linked so many preventable adverse conditions to weight and lifestyle.

While losing weight is one of the best things you can do for your health, you should pay close attention when altering your lifestyle so as not to put your health in jeopardy. When done right, a safe, healthy diet will help you start losing weight fast.

To get a good start in the weight loss process, it is important to be conscious of everything you are doing to your body—everything you consume, and everything you burn off. For this reason you should start a continuous record. You could use a journal; some find it easier, since they use the computer regularly, to use an excel spreadsheet. Record the details of every meal and the calories of each serving of food. When counting those calories, make sure you are taking serving size into account– sure, the bag of chips may say 200 calories, but that could be based on ten chips. You should make sure it is accurate. Also, keep track of your exercise—the type and length of time, and use an online calculator to estimate how many calories you are burning.

Once you have a firm grasp of your habits, start shrinking your portion sizes and caloric intake. Find dishes you enjoy made with fish, lean meats, and leafy, colorful vegetables; if you have a hard time with the taste, you can make any dish more appetizing with a flavorful sauce (make sure to get the low calorie version) or a fat free dressing (better yet—oil and vinegar!). If you must satisfy your fried or sweet food cravings, cut your normal portions in half or try to find healthy replacements. The purpose of all this is to get your consumption of calories lower than the calories you burn off; this is the only way you will start burning fat. Don’t drop your calories too low, however; you’ll start starving yourself of important nutrients, and it’s not a safe way to lose weight.

The next step in the process is increasing the amount of exercise you are doing. You will find when you are exercising regularly that you will start becoming capable of longer times, higher speeds and more reps. A healthier diet will also give you more energy. Respond to your body telling you you are getting stronger: run a mile instead of walk. Run two miles instead of one. Keep going—your body adjusts to the activity rapidly, and only by working harder during each workout will you continue to reap the benefits and burn calories. This will help you lose weight fast.

You will only be able to lose weight fast and safe if you are taking in a steady diet of nutritious foods and are burning a considerable number of calories with regular exercise. Follow these steps, and along the way, start adapting more good habits that work for you and your lifestyle; you’ll be losing weight before you know it.
